Potluck

Dear Parents,

Just a reminder tomorrow is a half day! Also on Friday November 20th we are going to have a potluck that will start at noon. There will be a program where your child will recite a thanksgiving poem. Also Ms. James and Ms. Abbots classes have a special treat for you. We hope to see there!

Art Show

I would like to thank each one of you who were able to participate in the Art Show. It was a great success! Thank you for all of your hard work. I look forward to doing another show in the spring.

Halloween

Halloween is fast approaching and at Venture Academy we will be having a carnival in celebration. In order to make this a reality we need volunteers to pick up things for the carnival along with running the booths. Please let us know by returning the volunteer form if you will be able to volunteer. It will be on Friday October 30th from 1pm-3pm.

Art Show

Art Show

Dear Parents/Guardians:

We have been working very hard on various art projects. In order for your child to show you his/her art that they have been working on we will have our own class art museum. It will be from 2:00pm to 3:00pm on October 8th. We would like to have cookies and drinks for this occasion. If you would be able to bring one or both please let me know by returning the bottom portion of this slip.
If you are going to bring a treat please arrive 5-10 minutes early in order to set up. The whole school will be viewing their art along with you the parents/guardians.

Art Museum

This field trip has been postponed to Tuesday October 6, 2008. It will be from noon to 2:00pm. We will leave the school at 11:30am and arrive at the children's art museum at noon and then leave the museum at 2:00pm and get back to school at 2:30pm. We will have a discussion about the museum at 2:30pm and students will then be free to go home at 3:00pm. For Kindergarten this is going to be a pre-activity to our own art museum that will be set up that Friday.

Field Trip To the Library

This field trip is tomorrow!! Please make sure to pack your student a lunch that doesn't need to be heated or refrigerated. Also make sure to send your students' permission slip back!

Swim Party

We are going to be having a school wide pool party in celebration of making it to midterm! Make sure to check your students backpack, because they will have their midterm grades that you will need to sign and send back. Thank you!

Spelling Bee

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are having a school wide spelling bee on October 6th and 8th. We have practiced what a spelling bee would be like and we will continue to practice spelling words in class. However, it would be beneficial to your student to practice these words at home. I’ve included a list of words that may appear at the spelling bee for kindergarten level.

Ugly Shoe Day

Ugly shoe day is September 4, 2009. Ugly shoe day consists of: wearing any ugly shoes of your choosing which will be judged and winners will be given awards. Shoes my be decorated, torn (as long as they stay on feet), dirty, etc. Please make sure that the shoes cover the students feet and will stay on, I don't want any injuries to occur because of improper foot wear.
